The Game

The goal in plants vs Zombies is to defend your house from the invading zombie hoard. You place various plants and defences on your front lawn who shot at the zombies who approach in a gird like manner. Essentially it is a linear tower dense game, with a huge range of rewards and upgrades, with a great storyline and intermingled humour to keep you picking up the game again and again.

• There are 50 full featured levels set in different house defence scenarios, including day, dark, the roof, with fog, and even on the swimming pool
• You battle 26 types of zombies who have a range of different abilities and skills. i.e. pole-vaulters bucket heads etc
• You collect coins to buy tools to help with your task which include rakes, new lawnmowers, and all types of deadly gardening tools.
• There are 10 achievements to collect.
• The graphics are amazing, and hilarious, the music is fantastic…check out the music video from the game below.

The Music

Like any good game worth it’s salt (angry birds?), Plants vs Zombies has a great soundtrack. The sound track is by Laura Shigihara, and borrows aspects from the pop music and console chiptunes. It’s a real goofy mix that adds to the feel of the game, and compliments the humor well.

You find yourself wondering what happened to the last hour, or just wanting 5 more minutes to see the next level, or unlock the next plant. The humor, music and feel of the game is awesome, and for $2.99 you really won’t regret buying this game.

History of Game
Plants versus Zombies is a popular tower defence game from Popcap Games that has sold more than 300,000 copies on iTunes. There are now many versions of the game including online flash versions, and even a fully-fledged PC DVD room version that you can buy from your local game store. The android community doesn’t miss out on this either, and was first released on the Android platform in May 2011.
